According to a monitoring program of WHO and UNICEF conducted in March 2010, 87% of the world ‘s population already had sources of supply of drinking water . One of the MDG Millennium Development Goals practically achieved.
Despite this good news, drinking water is still a precious and scarce resource in some parts of the world. Although it seems a small percentage, the number of people who still do not have access to drinking water is alarming and especially embarrassing. The United Nations General Assembly in July 2010 recognized the human right to water and sanitation . They recognized the right of all human beings to have availability to an amount of water sufficient for domestic and personal use , determining between 50 and 100 liters of water per person per day .
It also found that access to water should be ” safe, acceptable and affordable ” , not more than 3% of income at home. It also determined that it would have to be physically available, determining that the source must be located less than 1,000 meters from the home and its collection should not exceed 30 minutes.
The recommendations of these international organizations in not exceeding the price of water above 3% of household income, do not seem to be sufficient to reduce the cost and guarantee at least the minimum established in the most economically disadvantaged population.
Indeed, the factors that determine the cost of drinking water are several, including the need for a purification treatment to make it drinkable is usually the most expensive. But also the storage and transport infrastructure to bring the water to the points of consumption can increase its cost significantly.
All this implies that potable water is a difficult asset to achieve with quality and sustainability.

A SOLUTION WITH SPANISH SIGNATURE
Enrique Veiga is the forerunner of this great idea. The invention occurred to him during the great drought that Seville suffered between 1992 and 1995. Four years in which the shortage of rains jeopardized the supply of drinking water in the region.
« In the 1990s there was a drought in Spain that caused a great social alarm. My experience in cold storage rooms, where defrosting has to be done frequently, made me think about obtaining water by a similar method. The idea was to install a structure in the most affected town square and get water from the air. Currently we do the same, but we install the fountain in the desert. He lived there since he moved years ago from Vigo, his hometown, when the company Frigorifica Barreras de Vigo for which he worked offered him an important project to carry out in Seville. « The construction of the Barriers factory was carried out in a place without cranes, where a system of unloading by means of conveyor belts had to be invented. In his long professional career he has many awards. His training began as a Mechanical Industrial Expert by the Vigo School and as a Refrigeration Engineer at the Institut Français du Froid Industriel in Paris. He later traveled to Canada and Norway where he graduated in Montreal in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Techniques. Since 1996 he is the CEO of Aquaer Generators .

But i also have other patents, with working prototypes, such as frozen product preservation chambers; bricks with a sound insulation of 95%, capable of soundproofing any premises, and an energy autogenerator of which I have the prototype, and I hope to present it soon. It will be a revolution ! »
THE ADVANTAGES OF THE Aquaer DRINKING WATER GENERATOR

Water is practically necessary in all types of public and private buildings and establishments, so it is not surprising the great demand and expectation that this product has generated. Worldwide, both private companies and public entities are interested in acquiring the Aquaer Generator, but also private and NGOs.
HOW IT WORKS AND HOW IS YOUR MAINTENANCE
The machine is installed outdoors , connected to an electrical source , although there is also the version with solar panels that does not need any external electricity source.
Water production is carried out day and night , automatically and independently of climatic conditions, with a self-regulation system that guarantees its autonomy.

A SOLIDARY ISSUE
As we have said, more than 2.1 billion people lack access to safe managed drinking water services , according to WHO / UNICEF in its 2017 report .
Water scarcity affects 4 out of 10 people according to the WHO . And always, according to WHO / UNICEF in 2017, 4.5 billion people still lack safe managed sanitation services .
The lack of water causes the death of more than 1.5 million children , of which 340,000 children under 5 die each year from diarrheal diseases associated with the lack and contamination of water .
The agriculture accounts for 70% of global water withdrawals according to FAO .

The cost per liter of water will depend on the price of Kwh. In Namibia the cost of electricity is 30.28 cents per Kwh, so 1 liter of water costs 0.01 cents. Getting the price of water to decrease so that everyone can have access is a social necessity .

EFFORTS MUST CONTINUE
It is not enough to increase the percentage of the Millennium Development Goal . There are still too many people suffering from a shortage of drinking water and sanitation services. Reaching 100% and eradicating this scandalous infamy is a social effort that we all must take seriously and act.
