HOLOGRAMS: MAGIC IN THE CIRCUS

A SPECTACULAR ALTERNATIVE THAT RESPECTS ANIMALS

Although less and less, popular circuses and recreational attractions in which animals are exhibited performing movements and unnatural actions continue to be an alarming reality in many parts of the world.

HOLOGRAMS: MAGIC IN THE CIRCUS

Tigers and elephants in circuses, roosters in lucrative fights, heifers and goats in the popular festivals of the villages, monkeys and snakes in street markets are often used absurdly and insensitively to obtain a benefit at the cost of a life in captivity, suffering and on so many occasions the cruel death of the unfortunate animal.

Although this absurd reality still exists , public and government opinion is becoming increasingly aware of the dignity that animals have and the respect with which we must treat them . In fact, more governments and authorities are taking legislative measures to eradicate these meaningless customs and traditions that threaten the dignity and life of animals.

The magnificent and exceptional feeling offered by seeing and almost touching wild animals and as extraordinary as lions, tigers and elephants has been one of the most impressive and extraordinary experiences that man has always sought.

But this understandable desire for admiration and wonder of wildlife has led man to devise ways to take advantage of this popular curiosity.

Ignores the conditions of suffering and humiliation in which animals were forced to survive have been exploited, deprived of their freedom and separated from their natural habitat .

A TECHNOLOGY OF THE FUTURE THAT RESPECT THE DIGNITY OF ANIMALS

The technological advances are increasingly present in every moment of our lives, also in those of entertainment and fun . Holograms that we anticipated with so much expectation and that we believed so distant in the future are already a reality. In fact, more and more people incorporate this technology in their shows. Musical concerts with holographic characters for example are being a novelty as expected as spectacular.

THE “CIRCUS RONCALLI”: THE FIRST CIRCUS IN THE WORLD WITH HOLOGRAPHIC TECHNOLOGY

The “ Circus Roncalli ” was founded by Bernhard Paul and André Heller in 1976 in Germany. The genius of “Circus Roncalli” has been unique in presenting us with a show that is completely unusual and extraordinarily impressive . It offers the public an artistic, original and magical show , which is also respectful of animals.

“I had the desire to show animals in the circus in a poetic and modern way,” says Bernhard Paul, director of the Roncalli Circus.

Implementing holographic technology, the “Circus Roncalli” offers the public the first show to the world of circus magic and wildlife on the move .

The scenery presents multicolored three-dimensional holographic images of wild animals , an illusion in the purest circus style with the novelty of an avant-garde and high quality imaging technology, which also provides a realism and a beauty that generates a unique and impressive illusory experience .

WHAT IS THE TECHNOLOGY OF THE HOLOGRAM

The manipulation of light makes it possible for us to see three-dimensional images in motion . But what is a hologram?

A hologram is a three-dimensional graphic image or vision . This cutting-edge technique uses photography and laser light to generate three-dimensional images in motion.

The holography was invented by Hungarian physicist Dennis Gabor in 1948 . In 1971 he received the Nobel Prize in Physics for this invention. Years later the holography was perfected extraordinarily with the contribution that evolution produced with the laser .

Basically in this imaging technique the laser is used to microscopically record a photosensitive film . The interference occurring between two coherent light beams create a light that reflect on an object . From a precise perspective, the received light projects a three-dimensional image that properly processed and illuminated can acquire multicolored, movement and continuity.

Specifically in the Circus Roncalli 11 laser projectors of the Optoma ZU850 model have been used, all equipped with long-range lenses and strategically distributed throughout the 32-meter tent. This distribution allows multicolored and moving holograms to be projected on stage with impressive quality and realism. An approximate investment of 500,000 euros that has made this new show possible.

” We become the first circus to use holographic animals, “ says Circus director Roncalli.

The circus has always been a magical place where we can see extraordinary and incredible things. Fun, amazement and enthusiasm are guaranteed in an increasingly surprising and original show. Art and fantasy united to offer us “the best show in the world”. Thanks to the holography technique, we can enjoy the magic of circus art, but also with an added value, respect for the dignity of animals .
